Also known as Pricklybark because fine, tough fibres that stick into your hand if it is rubbed hard on the tree (Powell 1990).
On Swan Coastal Plain typically found on ridges between wetlands, but elsewhere it grows on white/ grey or yellow sand and often over laterite.
May be a connected plant (i.e. what appears to be several individuals are actually only one plant) (Tinker 2007)
Two to eight, but up to 15m high. Flowers white/ cream. Flowers Jan–Apr.
